Cinequest 2010 featured Micha Lewinsky’s Die Standesbeamtin after her 2009 Best First Feature Award at Cinequest 2009 for The Friend. The film is based on a love triangle where a civil registrar, Rahel in a small Swiss town must marry a star-couple where the fiancé Ben, is an old flame. She faces a cheating husband and then faces the difficult task of putting her affection for Ben, as she helps him prepare for his wedding. Although a dramatic film, the storyline is interspersed with great moments of humor. The ending is a little predictable with love conquers all message.
